World Poetry Day

an outdoor poetry post
in Albuquerque, New Mexico,
The World

may poetry posts and little free food pantries become as common as little free libraries — all three are such inspiring forms of praxes

a displayed poem:
“Brushing Teeth with my Sister after the Wake”

a wonderfully eccentric,
outdoor little [free] library & bench
in Albuquerque, New Mexico,
The World

watch for cacti

another displayed poem
“Late September”

also a unique house number marker

although i was looking for a book of poetry,
i borrowed a book of prose

a love poem to poetry for world poetry day

dear poetry,

i have near-died
so many times
from heartbreak and horror

proximal and distant
it is always you,
who resuscitates me
it’s your words, that resurrect me.
you’re my sustenance
in this existence

also lovely at twilight
